Lydia and Harry

Today is a special day for me as it would have been my Grandmother Lydia's 98th birthday. When she was a little girl growing up on a farm, an Owl came into her room and, although she was scared at first, they stared at each other and made a connection that led her to loving Owls all of her life. Her love of Owls was passed down to me and it was one of the first animals I made drawings of when I was a little girl. Many years later
I painted Lydia and Harry, a portrait of my Grandmother and Grandad as Owls. I made a Paw Pouch with the painting just for my Grandmother as a gift, as it was an ideal size for her needs. Everyone kept asking her about it and I decided to add the Lydia and Harry image to the Salvador Kitti collection. I still member that when she first saw the painting, she said she was glad that Harry had a bigger nose than she did! Every time someone orders a Lydia and Harry item it puts a big smile on my face.
